Betty Lee Johnson

Betty Lee Johnson, age 94, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 14, 2021. She is survived by her children; Debbie Benson, Pamela Petty (John), Mickie Johnson, and Michael Johnson (Stephanie); grandchildren; Aaron (Vanessa), Jennifer (Steven), Sara (Duncan), Rebecca (Drew), Justin (Erika), Daniel, Samantha (Joseph), Lauren, Trevor, and Brendan; great grandchildren; Kiamni, Sean, Seth, Jasper, Addison, Eleanor, Luke, Jason, James and TBD, and many more family including her sisters Rosalie and Judy, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.  Betty was preceded in death by her husband Gene, her parents and several other precious family members including 3 sisters and 1 brother.  Betty grew up in Kansas on a farm and went to Oklahoma for nursing school where she met the love of her life. She was a surgical registered nurse working in Oklahoma and New Mexico, retiring from St Joseph Hospital in Albuquerque.  Betty was a loving, caring, nurturing care giver as a nurse, Mom, Grandma, and friend. She loved her family dearly and her fun-loving spirit will be greatly missed.

She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish for many years. A Rosary will be recited Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima, 4020 Lomas NE with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
