Betty James

Betty J. James, of Abilene, Texas and formally of Albuquerque, passed away on October 12, 2017 at the age of (almost) 88.

She was born in Grady, NM on October 16, 1929 to Gilbert and Mattie (Hutchison) Bryant. Betty was married to Buford James for 60 years before his passing in 2010. They were members of Central Assembly of God Church and later Hoffmantown Church where Betty enjoyed immensely her bridge partners and continued playing after her move to Abilene. She is survived by one brother; two children; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Betty’s earthly body will be laid to rest with her husband at Sunset Memorial Park and per her request there will be no service.
