Betty Jackson passed away peacefully on June 12, 2015. Betty was a loving wife, mother, aunt and nana, with a vibrant personality. Everyone who knew Betty loved her spirit for life, beautiful smile, warm heart and kind soul. She is survived by her loving and caring husband, Larry Siner; daughters, Nancy Sacoman with husband Rick, and Kriss Middleton with husband Robert. She is also survived by the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Christian Sacoman and Stephanie Middleton. Betty is also survived by her nieces, whom she loved as her own, Charlene Cooke with husband Jim, Dede Van Voltinburg with husband Jim, Bobbi Johnson with husband Mark, and Linda Padilla with husband Jim Stephens. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Donna Melchior; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Alice and Lee Padilla; her brother, Larry Melchior and her granddaughter, Camden Elizabeth Rose Sacoman. Betty was born in Santa Fe, NM and attended Loretto Academy. After graduation, she moved to Albuquerque and became a longtime employee with the Federal Government including the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the US Federal Courts Clerk's Office, where she worked as the Financial Administrator. She was a longtime member of the Federal Court Clerk's Association, where she held the office of Treasurer for several years, and had the opportunity to attend many of their annual meetings at locations throughout the country. Betty also loved to travel with her husband Larry. They had the opportunity to visit many locations including Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Paris, Dublin, Ireland, and most recently Rome. One of Betty's greatest joys was watching her grandson Christian play basketball and seeing her granddaughter Stephanie at her cheerleading competitions. She would always be on the sidelines with her big hand clapper cheering on her grandchildren. Betty will be missed more than words can say, but her spirit will continue to shine in all who knew and loved her. We mourn the loss of Betty, but we celebrate the life of this amazing individual.
