Betty Jo Dykes

Betty Jo Dykes, 89, beloved wife, mother and grandmother went home on January 10, 2019. Betty was born on February 12, 1929 in Albuquerque, NM. Betty will be remembered by her love for life and her passion to care for others. She was a smiling face, a helping hand and a listening ear to everyone. Her genuine spirit and love for others warmed all that knew her. She will forever be missed but never forgotten. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, David A. Dykes Jr, and her son, David A. Dykes III. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Lanford and her husband John, Diane Broadwell and her husband Brad; and daughter-in-law Patty Dykes. She was grandmother to seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Hope Church, 4801 Montano Blvd NW Suite A-10, Albuquerque, NM 87120. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch, P.O.
