Betty J. Delgado

Betty J. Delgado, age 80, a native of Salina, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 after suffering injuries suffered in an accident in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Juan Delgado; daughters, Sandy Delgado and fiance Joseph Beyers, and Cindy McNeely; sons, Ronald Delgado and wife, Gloria and Richard Delgado; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; siblings, Berniece Pickrel, Loretta Williams, Everett Blehm, and Carol Stevenson and husband, Bert; nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and close friends. Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Blehm; and sisters, Dorothy Schultz and Marilyn Mann. She was born in Wilson, KS in 1935 and lived most of her life in California raising her children. Betty was employed by Bethany Home in Lindsburg, KS and Windsor House in Salina for several years. She loved taking care of the elderly. Betty was a good humored, giving person who loved her family more than anything else. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may visit First Southern Baptist Church, 2401 S. Ohio on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A service will follow at First Southern Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gypsum Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of New Mexico Hospital, ICU Unit.
