Betty Jeanne Danclovic, age 86, beloved mother and grandmother, passed peacefully surrounded by her sons and loved ones on May 21, 2016. She was born in Kansas City, MO to Melvin and Letha Burk. Betty Jeanne moved to Albuquerque in 1955. She was a retired educator from the Albuquerque Public Schools system. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Nile, ADK sorority, Albuquerque Visitors Convention Bureau, and numerous civic, church, and social groups. She attended St. John's United Methodist Church. She passed on to her family her love for arts, education, and theater. Her love for the history and people of New Mexico was never ending. Her indomitable spirit, compassion, and intelligence touched many lives.
Betty Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons, Paul Danclovic, Charles Danclovic and wife, Bernadette, and Bill Danclovic; grandchildren, Shantal Butts and husband, Daniel, Charlesten and Breana Danclovic; great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Caiden Butts; and many dear and personal friends including Dick and Eva Smith, and Sharon Liotta.
The family would like to personally thank the staff of Lovelace Medical Center and Gentiva Hospice for their help and assistance.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, May 27, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona St. NE.
