Betty B. (Rose) Brooks, age 72, passed away on March 28, 2016. She was born and raised in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. She moved to Albuquerque in 1964 when she worked for the Atomic Energy Commission. She was known for her big smile for those she loved as well as everyone else she met.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents James Merritt and Frances and brother Bill Rose. She is survived by daughter Kelly Ortman and husband Rob; daughter Karen Hobbs and husband Randy; grandsons Kasen Ortman, Kyle Ortman, Kaleb Hobbs, and Ryder Hobbs; brother Jim Rose and wife Norma; brother John Rose and wife Monica; as well as cousins Carolyn and Julie; nieces and nephews; and her Uncle Bob. She cherished her family and they will miss her dearly.
Services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephens United Methodist Church, 4601 Juan Tabo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
Donations in her honor may be made to Animal Humane NM, 615 Virginia St SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
