Betty Lou (Swenson) Allen

Betty L. Allen, age 91, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children, Gary Allen and wife, Carlene, David Allen, Judith Ringquist and husband, Steve, and Vicki Allen and her dog Gryff; five grandchildren, Bryan Ringquist and wife, Wendy, Michelle Stevens and husband, James, Jennifer Miller and husband, Zach, Julie Castillo and husband, Sergio, and Ashley Allen; and twelve great-grandchildren who will also miss their "Grammy". Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lynn D. Allen, Jr.; her parents, Aaron and Vera Swenson; son, Christopher Allen; daughter, Linda Maxey; and granddaughter, Melissa Fahey. Betty was an amazing, gentle and kind woman whose family was the most Important thing in her life. She was a great listener with a warm and generous heart that was open to everyone whose lives she touched. Betty loved everyone and was much loved in return. All of her children say, "Mom, we love you more....more...and more." Betty's family extends a special thanks and gratitude to the staff at Heart Hospital of NM and Kindred Hospice for their loving and compassionate care in Betty's last days.
