Bertha Nicoll

Bertha Nicoll was called home to her final resting place on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Bertha was born on July 6, 1957, in Socorro New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Nicoll; daughter, Frances Montoya; mother, Petrita Montoya; father, Joe Montoya and sister, Francis Martinez.
Bertha is survived by her son, Raul Guzman (Janelle); daughter, Jennifer Saiz (0mar); seven grandchildren, Antonio, Felicity, Mia, Alicia (Julian), Xavier, Nevaeh, and Omar Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Ryder and Aurora; three brothers, Lawrence (Efren), Johnny (Nora), and George (Lee); one sister, Bedelia, and many other nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Bertha was raised in Magdalena New Mexico, graduated from Magdalena High. Bertha raised her two children in Magdalena. She was a purchasing agent for NRAO for 20 plus years.
Bertha moved to Albuquerque to be with the love of her life Cliff. She then pursued her career with Goodwill until the passing of her husband.

Bertha loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking for any occasion. She found joy in sewing, doing puzzles, and traveling. Bertha had a dream of going to see her beloved Cowboys play in their new stadium. She also dreamed of going to watch the New York Yankees. Bertha looked forward to spending her afternoons with her group of Albuquerque and Magdalena's friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 8, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Westside. Reception to follow immediately.
Bertha and Cliff will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
