Berniece Vivian "Bea" Barton

Berniece (Bea) V. Barton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lee Barton; four older brothers and one younger sister. She is survived by daughter Linda Edwards of Albuquerque; son Alan Barton and wife Kathy of Omaha, NE; granddaughter Tara Freeman and husband Kevin of Kinder, LA; her sisters Mattie Williams and Nancy Butler; brothers Sam Coggins and wife Barbara, Bill Coggins; brother-in-law Bob Ross and sister-in-law Ruth Lebecki; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends scattered throughout the world. She dedicated most of her life as her husband's business partner and companion while helping to raise her brothers and sisters as well as her own children. She enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, fishing, bowling, cooking with her family and friends. She was known for her delicious fried chicken and apple pies. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice de la Luz, 3812 Academy Parkway North, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, 505-217-2490 or the charity of your choice.
