Bernie Glinn Gilbert

Age 90, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, October 11, 2014. He is survived by his three children, son, Glinn Ryan Gilbert and wife, Colleen of Rochester, WA; daughter, Marietta Ileene Walker of Aurora, CO; and son, Gregory William Gilbert of Albuquerque, NM. He also leaves behind three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his brother, Bill Gilbert of Caldwell, ID and sister, Mary Jane Berneche of Price, UT. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Wilma Ileene Gilbert; his parents, Bernie and Mary Etta Gilbert; and two brothers. Bernie served his country with the US Navy in the South Pacific as a SeaBee. He worked at Los Alamos National Lab as a machinist and retired as a Quality Control Inspector. A Graveside Service will be on Monday, October 20, 2014, 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM. Friends are invited to a Visitation prior to the service Monday, October 20, 2014, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of their choice.
