Bernice McLaughlin

Bernice was born and raised and spent most of her life in Albuquerque. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and cousin. Bernice was known as an exceptional cook and talented baker, enthusiastic Bible teacher, and lover of life and people. She worked for many years as an accountant and secretary in her family's business.

Bernice was married to the love of her life, her husband Paul, for over fifty-three years. Her family and friends remember her engaging smile that could light up a room, as well as her deep faith, kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity. Bernice loved caring for others. When asked, her friends and family considered her to be a very special person.

Bernice is survived by her husband Paul, mother Julia, brother Michael (Lynn), sister Ruth Ann, son Paul C. (Melanie), daughter Amy (Lonney), daughter Jessica (Matt), grandchildren Paul, Morgan, Gabriel (Lexie), Kylie, Liam, Austin, Aubrey and Chloe, and great grandsons Creed and Cameren. She also leaves behind brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many treasured friends.

Bernice was preceded in death by her father Elias, stepfather Sam, sister-in-law Charlene, brother-in-law Jim, nephew Roger, niece Dawn, father-in-law Paul, mother-in-law Frances, brother-in-law Francis, brother-in-law Paul, and grandson Joshua.

A memorial service honoring Bernice will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at 11:00 AM at Calvary Albuquerque, located at 4001 Osuna Road NE, Albuquerque NM 87109. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in Bernice's name.
