Benjamin Vigil

Benjamin Vigil, age 80, beloved spouse, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. He entered this world on September 10, 1941, in Pecos, NM, born to Ramon and Nancy Vigil.

Benjamin is survived by his spouse, Lola Vigil. He was married to Lola, the love of his life, in 1959 and for the next 62 years they never left each other's side.
He is also survived by his daughter, Janet Valdez and son-in-law Javier Valdez; grandson, Jacob Valdez; daughter, Liz Dillard and son-in-law, Terry Dillard; grandson, Matthew Dillard; granddaughter, Jessica Dillard; great-grandson, Rosendo Cruz; and great-grandson, Alakai Benavidez.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his sisters, Rosabelle Chavez and Faye Gabaldon. He is survived by his brother, Paul Vigil and his sisters, Maria Chavez and Shirley Vigil.

Benjamin enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He was always willing to help others at any time. He was kind and fun-loving and sometimes had a mischievous sense of humor. He had many, many friends. Everyone loved Ben! We will miss him greatly; may he rest in peace.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH- Westside.
