Sarracino, Benjamin
Benjamin Sarracino, 93, beloved Benny, was called to his eternal resting place on December 7, 2015. He entered this world on October 17, 1922 in Pajarito, NM, born to Mariano and Nicelsa Sarracino.
Benny lived his entire life in Albuquerque. He was a self-starter and entrepreneur by heart. He owned various businesses including a grocery store, restaurants, and other business opportunities. His last position was at the Amfac Hotel where he served as concierge. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, enjoyed eating, dancing, and discussing the economy and most of all, good conversation with his countless friends.
Survivors include his sister, Rita Montoya of San Francisco, CA; loving in-laws; nieces; nephews; and his distinctive acquaintance, Lola Torres.
We would like to extend sincere thanks to his special friends, Dolores Marquez, Manual Marquez, and Juana Anaya. Additionally, we would like to recognize the following, Jacqueline Vigil, Monica Marquez, Loretta Baca, A.J. Baca, Franshaun Baca and Teanna Baca, his Goddaughter. They were an integral part of his life. He felt as if they were his own grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015, 9:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave SW. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
