Born and raised in San Mateo, NM. She passed at 99 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby; her parents, Flavio and Cecilia; and five siblings Bessie, Dela, Fela, Jean, Paul, and their respected spouses.
Beatrice is survived by her sons, Frankie and Jamie; her daughters, Trisha and Debra; and many loving nieces and nephews. Beatrice has 10 grandchildren, Bobby Joe, Selina, Joseph, Frankie Jr, Marcos, Carlos and wife, Monica, Andrea, Danisha, Justin, Cece, and many more step-grandchildren. She also has 23 great-grandchildren, Amri, Daniel, Addy, Kayden, Christopher, Amerie, Jasmine, Robert, Joslyn, Leah, Little Marcos, Tiana, Tierra, Mia, Janelle, Lauryn, Leah, Roman, Lucas, Jordan, D'yon, Mya, Moses, and many more step-great-grandchildren. All who she loved dearly.
Beatrice worked hard to raise her kids with the help of her mother, Cecilia. She worked many years at Jill's bakery decorating cakes. She then moved on and started working at General Electric and eventually retired from GE. Her job at GE consisted of assembling parts for airplanes. She made lifelong friends in Angela, Lucille, and Dora from both places of employment. She was also active in her 1st Bilingual Baptist Church with her friends, Grace, Margaret, and many others. She also enjoyed making arts and crafts in particular ceramics and beadwork with her cousin Elisa and friends Alice, Gloria, Pearl, and Angela. Beatrice also traveled a bit. She's been to Germany to visit her son and daughter-in-law and went on a cruise to the Virgin Islands with her cousin and friends.
My mother loved and much enjoyed the company of her comadre Nina Santiago and family where she was lovingly called Grandma Bea to all the Santiago family which included the Valleses, Ortegas, Padillas, Gurules, Blakemores, Jenkines, and Greens. She was also Grandma Bea to the Garland family in North Carolina, Sharon and her extended family. She had so many wonderful memories with each and every one of them and they all got ceramics for Christmas. Later in her life, my dear friend Dannette Jaramillo and I would get our mothers, Beatrice and Annabelle, together to talk and enjoy each other's company, the making of another close friend for her...but they didn't get any ceramics. And most recent all the Thanksgivings and Christmases with Joe and Berlinda Arias. The pure joy and chaos of the kids opening presents.
You all showed so much love to my mother and I thank you. She will be missed...my mama.
