Beatrice Selsor Fitzgerald

May 13, 1920 — July 10, 2014

FITZGERALD, Beatrice Selsor Age 94, she was born on May 13, 1920 in Hoxie, AK. Her next journey began on Friday, July 10, 2014, as she left to join family and loved ones. She will be missed by all who remember the generous and giving heart of "Bea." She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roy; parents, Luther and Claudia; brother, Lawrence; sister, Lucille; and two grandsons, Virgil and Jimmy. She is survived by daughter, Ann; life-friend, Juanita; a large church family; and students and caregivers. Bea traveled some before settling in Albuquerque 50 plus years ago. She retired from American Furniture, but continued her humanitarian efforts and volunteer work. Bea was one of the original fundraisers and founders of Noon Day Ministries when she still attended Broadway Baptist Church. She continued her worship and music while attending Del Norte Baptist Church. She played piano all her life, and as with her education, she always excelled. Her ongoing support for the NM Scholarship funds was never ending. She enjoyed receiving the many letters from recipients over the years (too many to mention). She would say "Continue your education and fulfill your dreams." A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH - University. Private interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers please help someone today by making a donation to a local charity or by helping someone in need "Pay It Forward". FRENCH - University 1111 University Blvd NE 505-843-6333
