It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry A. Roybal Sr., who was called to his eternal resting place on February 27, 2025, at the age of 80. Barry touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and generosity.
Born on December 3,1944 in Oakland, CA, Barry lived a life full of love, dedication, and hard work. He was a beloved Son, Husband, Father, Papa and a devoted friend. He was known for his dedication to family and made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Barry served in the United States Navy from 1964 - 1969.
Barry is survived by his Wife of 44 years, Dena Roybal, Daughter Valerie Roybal, Son Barry Roybal Jr., and Granddaughters Jade and Iris Roybal, who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. He was predeceased by his Father Benjamin Roybal and Mother Mary Amanda Roybal.
Barry will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We love you. May he rest in peace.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 5 p.m., at FRENCH-Rio Rancho followed by a Rosary at 6 p.m.
A Mass will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. A graveside will follow at 2 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501. Following the graveside service a reception will be held from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at FRENCH-Rio Rancho.
