1927-2017
On April 8, 2017, our beloved mother, Barbara Wieland was carried to Heaven on the wings of Angels. She was greeted with love by the Lord, her heavenly family and joyously reunited with her husband, RJ Wieland of 64 years.
She is survived by her nine children, Mark, Ellen, Chris, Tim, Ginger, Grace, Sue, Matt, and Diana. She was also blessed with 18 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was born in El Paso, TX on October 31, 1927. After marrying RJ Wieland, they then ventured to Albuquerque in 1950 to live and raise their family. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. While raising her family, she did some personal modeling, participated in the Home Builders Association, the Genealogy Society, and was a Girl Scout leader for all five of her daughters. She always enjoyed celebrating in the lives of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She will be missed but will be honored for her devotion, love, and guidance to all. She will live in our hearts forever and be our everlasting rose.
A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 with a Visitation at 5:00 p.m. and a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – University. A Funeral Service will be on Friday, April 28, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7900 Wyoming Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd, NE.
