Barbara Tipton Sneddon

Beloved Barbara "Tippy" Sneddon, born July 26, 1935, in St. Louis, MO. Daughter of Susan Jane Ellis of Rolla, MO and Albert Barnard of St. Louis passed away on July 22, 2021. She is survived by Rick, her husband of 65 years; son Matthew Ritchie and wife Marcellea of Albuquerque; daughter Amy Cathleen Haggquist and husband Gregg; grandchildren Jack and Isabelle of Longmont, CO.

Tippy came to New Mexico from St. Louis in 1953 to attend UNM. She was a member of Spurs and Kappa Kappa Gamma Social Sorority and was the sweetheart of Sigma Chi fraternity. She married her junior year and graduated in 1959. She taught briefly at Jackson Middle School, was a camp director for Campfire, and the coordinator for the Albuquerque Federal Stateman's Club. She was the Public Information Officer for the Albuquerque Zoo. She remained active in Kappa affairs and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Cremation has taken place.
