Barbara Alice (Mosier) Rodgers

Barbara Alice Rodgers, treasured wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to be with her Lord July 9, 2018.

She put up a valiant struggle with a serious illness for many years that finally prevailed and took her life.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Grace Mosier; her brother, Donald (Buddy) Mosier, Jr.; and her beloved husband of 45 years, David.

She is survived by her son, David, and her grandsons, Nicholas, Tyler and Austin.  Barbara will be deeply missed by her sisters, Kathy Robberson (Pat) of Denver, Carol Straub (Dave) of Albuquerque, Maureen Thoendel (Frank) of Branson, and Donna Griffin (John) of Albuquerque.

Barbara’s many friends and acquaintances testify of her kindness and concerns for them.  Barbara was one of those unique people gifted with the ability of making another feel better when in fact she was truly the one suffering.  She suffers no more.  She is now in the arms of her loving Savior and faithful Lord, having spoken often of committing her life to His care.

She enjoyed fishing with her family, scorekeeping for her husband’s softball teams, which demanded she always be in possession of an official scorekeepers manual.  She could be counted on to fill this important role with the integrity and accuracy that was required.

Barbara Alice Rodgers proved herself to be a devoted friend and family member.  This is why she loved being present at the well-attended holiday feasts and festivities for which her family was legend.

Barbara has left a void in our hearts that is filled to overflowing with sweet memories.

A Private Memorial Service will take place on Friday, August 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m.
