Known to all as "Bunnie", Barbara Reich of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died on Friday, July 29; she was 90. Born Barbara Berg in Chicago, Illinois, Bunnie first moved to Albuquerque with her parents and two siblings at the age of seven. Except for the family's return to Chicago during World War II, Bunnie lived in Albuquerque the rest of her life.
In 1951 she met and married her beloved husband Norman Reich, then stationed at Kirtland Army Air Force Base. Later, the couple went into the auto parts business with Bunnie's father, with Bunnie serving as bookkeeper while rearing three sons. In her fifties, she went back to school, proudly earning a business degree. Bunnie stayed active in community theater and numerous charitable organizations. After she retired, she volunteered countless hours with the AARP helping people prepare their taxes.
Mrs. Reich is survived by three sons, Richard, Marc, and Steven, two granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
