Barbara Bergere Nau

Barbara, 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 23, 2015. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and life partner that left a lasting and loving impression on everyone she ever came in contact with. Born in Hollywood, CA to Joseph Charles Bergere and Suzanne Catron Bergere, Barbara moved to Santa Fe as a child and spent her life in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. She is a descendant of early New Mexico families including Catron, Luna and Bergere. She was a devout and enthusiastic patron of the New Mexico way of life. Barbara was known for her enthusiasm for life, her ever-present smile, and her ability to make everyone feel as though she had known them for a lifetime. Barbara loved to dance, spend lots of time with family and friends, travel to familiar and new places, and even served as a hot air balloon chase team member. Barbara is survived by her life partner, W. Peyton George; her daughter, Debra S. Rodarte; her stepson, Clayton D. Nau; her stepdaughter, Dorsey L. Ruhland; her two grandsons, Michael A. Rodarte and Richard A. Rodarte; and her three great-grandchildren, Ashton T. Flynn, Lydia A. Rodarte-Farrell, and Kylie M. Rodarte. She also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Also touching Barbara's life were her brother-in-law, Ken Nau; and her life-long friends, Kay Jones and Barbara Wasylenki.
