Barbara Joann List

Barbara Joann List, 84 passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015, in her Albuquerque, NM home. Barbara was born in Michigan on July 15, 1932, to Captain Mark and Doris Hocking. She met her late husband, Dean Bernard List, at the Coronado Club on base here in Albuquerque, while she was visiting a sister. They fell in love at first sight and began their lives together as husband and wife in June of 1954. They had two children together: Mark and Diann List. Tragically, Barbara became a single mother in the 1970s when Dean died suddenly from a heart attack. Barbara enjoyed being surrounded by family and will forever be known as a loving mother and Nana. She is now rejoined with her one true love.

Both Barbara and Diann are survived by Mark List, his wife Barbara S. List and their two children Joshua and Bethany. A joint memorial celebration for Barbara and Diann will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 9315 Candelaria Rd. NE, Albuquerque, 87112. A reception will follow the service.
