Barbara Lee King

Barbara Lee King of Edgewood, NM, was born on Friday, June 8, 1945, in Somerset, PA. She peacefully left this world on Monday, February 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Luella Walker; as well as her brothers, Harold Walker Jr. and Fred Berkebile. She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Reuben Joe King; children, Brenda (Tommy) and Douglas (Kelly); and grandchildren, Jennifer, Shearie, Bradley, Jeremy, and Ashley. Barbara was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.

Barbara cherished time with her family. She loved to cook and whether it was preparing family meals or winning the family game night, she did it with her heart and soul. She had a passion for the holidays, especially Christmas, she enjoyed making each year a little more spectacular than the last. Being an avid angler, Barbara loved dropping a hook off a boat. It did not matter where the water was, but simply a love that fueled her enthusiasm for travel. From the mountains of New Mexico to the icebergs of Alaska, Barbara found immense pleasure in the great outdoors. Her adventurous spirit kept her doing more, seeing more, and collecting many treasured friends along the way. She will be truly missed.
