Barbara Ann (Conklin) Hawthorn

Barbara Ann Hawthorn, 60, beloved Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on September 3, 2017. She entered this world on July 17, 1957 in Queens, NY, born to Robert Conklin and Karen Peterson.

She is survived by her son Christopher Lino and his wife Dominique Price; son Christopher Hawthorn and granddaughters Mariah and Kristen Hawthorn; daughter Caitlin Martinez, her husband Steven Martinez, and granddaughter Tessa Martinez; daughter Elizabeth Kirkpatrick and her husband Anthony Kirkpatrick; son Connor Lino and his wife Colleen Lino; son Jonathan Hawthorn; daughter Hilary Hawthorn and her fiancé Aaron Cordova; son Ceagan Lino and his girlfriend Genevieve Huff; and son Everett Hawthorn. She is also survived by her mother, Karen Peterson, her sisters Kellie Casteel and Catherine Conklin, and many other close family and friends too numerous to name. Barbara had many jobs in her life, including sole proprietorship of a dog-grooming business for many years, though no job was ever as important as her job as a mother and grandmother. Barbara's faith in the Lord never wavered, and through her many were able to experience God's love.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming, 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Church, 6901 San Antonio Dr NE, Albuquerque.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of her love of children and her late husband Kevin Hawthorn, please send donations to UNM Children's Hospital or MD Anderson Cancer Center.
