Barbara H. Sanchez

Barbara H. Sanchez passed on July 27, 2024.

She was predeceased by her mother Gertrude Fuchs, Aunt Anna Gross and Uncle Conrad Gross, cherished in-laws Fred and Nora Putnam, Dave and Alice Mora, Dorothy Litchfield and Jim McBride.

She is survived by her husband Frank Sanchez Jr., two children Steven (Suzanne), Regina (husband Ron), grandchildren Ryianna (husband Joe), Renee (husband Dave), Ryan (fiance Darlene), Derek (wife Rae), Nina, great grandchildren, Ameilia, Shea, Bear, Lilith, Alivia and Luna.

She was born in Sinsheim Germany on March 21, 1944. Raised in Kusel Germany. Met her husband Army Specialist E5 Frank Sanchez Jr. in Kaiserslautern Germany 1959. Married Frank in 1961 and moved to Wiesbaden Germany. Later stationed in White Sands, NM and started a family. Many moves to Germany, Maryland, New Mexico, Okinawa and then back to Albuquerque where they retired.

Barbara loved gambling, The American Legion Post 49, camping, fishing, friends and most of all family.

Known as Oma, she helped raise grandchildren Ryianna, Renee, Ryan and Derek. She also cared for her nephew/Godson Tim McBride and great niece Adrianne Wilson (Putnam).

Barbara was the life of the party and very generous with her family and friends.

Everyone who knew her knew that she DANCED TO THE BEAT OF HER OWN DRUM.

We love you wife, mom, Oma, Auntie, sister and friend. Rest in peace.
