Barbara E. Griego

Barbara E. Griego, 80, passed away September 8, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nicolas Reynaldo; sons, Steven, Lawrence, Nicolascito and daughter, Nocolascita. She is survived by Amadeo Sanchez, her companion and caregiver for more than 40 years. She is also survived by her children, Modesto, Sarah Griego and husband David, Theresa Griego, Michael and wife Marie, Amadeo Jr. and wife Karrie, and Leveo Sanchez; grandchildren, Michael Griego Jr., Steven Gibbs, Ray Griego, Georgia Griego, Leah Griego, Ashlee and Aimee Sanchez and great-grandchildren, Skylar, Ethan, Emma, Maya, Austin and Ty. Barbara loved it when people stopped by for a visit. From her sisters and brothers who lived close by to all of her nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "Aunt Bobbie." Her children and grandchildren were the loves of her life and they all love her dearly in return. Holidays were very special to her and her home became an open house to all. No matter the season, you never left her house hungry because she had to feed everyone who came through her door. We can't forget her four-legged family members who were always by her side and brought her incredible joy. We thank God for receiving her into His loving care and we are comforted knowing we will see her again. Thank you Mom for loving us so selflessly and being a constant in our lives. Rosary will be recited Monday, September 14, 2015 at 8:00 a.m., with Mass to follow at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
