Baldassare "Benny" Verderame

Baldassare "Benny" Verderame, age 89, resident of Albuquerque since 1974, died on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. He is survived by his spouse, Giovanna "Jenny" of Albuquerque; children, Richard, Angela, and Michael Verderame; and grandchildren, Jennifer Kaz and Nicholas and Nicole Verderame. Mr. Verderame was preceded in death by his mother, Angela; father, Onofrio; brother, Nino; and sister, Rosa. Benny Verderame was a kind, loyal, and devoted man to his family and everyone he knew. He came to America from Italy, started from nothing and built an amazing life, meeting the love of his life along the way and creating a beautiful family. He worked hard every day of his life being a business man. When he became ill, he fought until the very last moment of his life. Mr. Verderame was a part of the Italian American Club located in Rio Rancho, being a member there for over 20 years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 6, 2014, 9:00 a.m., at Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11509 Indian School Rd.
