Avalin Sigur, age 76, dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020. She was born on May 25, 1943, in Las Vegas, NM to Alvin and Edna Dudley. Avalin was known for being a faithful believer in Christ and church member, a constant encourager, and cherished friend. She volunteered at the Albuquerque Visitor’s Center in Old Town where she delighted in sharing her love and knowledge of her native state with others. She treasured investing in memories by travelling internationally with her children and grandchildren. Some of her favorite locations were Salzburg, Austria; Chania, Greece; and Lake Garda, Italy. She is survived by her son, Brandon Sigur; her daughter-in-law, Sylwia Sigur; her grandchildren, Adrian and Olivier Sigur all of Eppegem, Belgium; and daughter, Tara Sigur of Albuquerque. Avalin was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Sigur and her parents, Alvin and Edna Dudley. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church Rio Rancho. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Rio Rancho’s Benevolence Fund.
