Aurelia Garcia

Aurelia Garcia, 86, our beloved mother started her final journey on September 7, 2017. Aurelia lived her life simply and worked hard to raise her children and grandchildren and always gave them consejos for an easier life. She always thrived to help everyone in whatever way she could. She loved her special time at the flea market where she spent time will all her special friends and relatives in Grants, San Rafael, Thoreau, and Prewitt.

She is survived by her children; Angie Aragon, Elmer and Carol Aragon, Gina Garcia, Lisa Aragon, Anthony Aragon, Rick and Clarissa Aragon, Diane Lucero, Jesse and Vicki Garcia, and Andy and Sonia Garcia. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren. Aurelia is survived by her very special sister and brother-in-law; Jane and Jesse Robles and also her brothers; Tacho Valdez and Fred and Tita Valdez.

Aurelia was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Garcia; her sons, Edward and Kenneth Aragon; granddaughter, Josette Garcia; and grandson, Jacob Aguilar.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH – University, 1111 University Blvd. NE, and officiated by Elmer Aragon. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
