Augustine A. Apodaca

Augustine A. Apodaca passed away November 30, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. Augustine was born on August 12, 1941, to Augustine and Abigail Apodaca in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He studied business at UNM earning multiple degrees. On August 13, 1966, Augustine married Rita Carabajal. They had two children, Lisa and Aaron. Augustine spent a career in business, where he developed small businesses as well as serving a CFO for a tech company. He was inducted into a UNM School of Management Hall of Fame in 1994.

Augustine was a devout Catholic, a natural athlete, and a dedicated husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rita Apodaca; his brother, Richard Apodaca; daughter, Lisa and husband, David Roberts (grandchildren, Abbey and Ethan); and son, Aaron and wife, Jessica (grandchildren, Anders and Tristan). He will be deeply missed.

Services will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122, on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023 at 11:00 am, with reception to follow.
