Audrey Rae West

Audrey Rae West,  age 23, a life long resident of New Mexico went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2021.

She is survived by her parents, Doug West (Amanda West), and JoLynn S. West; her sister, Miranda West; and her grandparents, Sue West and Vernon Smith; Uncle Mel West (Amber West), cousins, Bryant, Austin, Connor, Merrick and Kinsley West; aunt Laura Mitchell (Don Mitchell), aunt Allison Bange-Smith (Michael Bange), cousins, Wil Mitchell (Jen Mitchell), Jake Mitchell (Whitnie Mitchell), Grace Mitchell, Ella and Charlotte Bange; along with lifelong friends, Molly and Sarah Risacher.

Audrey grew up in Edgewood New Mexico and graduated from Moriarty High School in 2016 and attended Central New Mexico Community College. While at Moriarty High School she played volleyball and participated in track and field to include javelin and shotput. Audrey was in the honor civics program and travelled to Washington D.C. to compete at a national level for high school students her senior year. She participated in the 4H horse project for several years with the Edgewood Chaparrals. She loved working with her dogs, cats, horses and birds.

She attended church at Calvary Chapel East Mountain and later and Valley View Christian Church. She worked at Skyline Therapy Services in Edgewood NM for six years, where she worked through high school and continued until her passing. Audrey loved her encounters with the kids while at work. She was also an avid weightlifter, loved fitness, and was certified as a personal trainer.

The love all of us had for Audrey is so deep that even the richest words and stories wouldn't even come close to describe her attributes. Her friends and family would describe her as loving, genuine and funny. She had a special way of making others feel important and would always ask about others and rarely drew attention to herself.

A private celebration of life was held with immediate family members. Family will gather at another time and place to spread her ashes.
