Arthur "Art" B. Posey Sr.

Arthur "Art" B. Posey Sr., 81, beloved husband, father, poppie, brother, uncle and friend was called to his Heavenly home on June 5, 2018. He entered this world on February 17, 1937 in Birmingham, AL, and was born to Ada and Louis Posey Sr. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Kindred-Posey; daughter, Adrienne Renee Posey; son, Art B. Posey Jr. and wife, Marie Posey; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters, Willistein Smith, Vera Wilson, and Henrietta Posey; and one brother, James Posey (wife Dollene Posey), and was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Posey (wife Ann Posey). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Art attended the University of New Mexico where he studied music education and worked at the Albuquerque International Airport for 44 years and in addition, owned his own business. To know Art was to love and respect him but most importantly to appreciate his humor and love for God.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at God’s House, 2335 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM.
