Art Farrar passed away peacefully and in the presence of loved ones on October 11, 2013. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 19, 1926 and grew up in Yuma, Arizona. As a young man, he moved to Los Angeles, California with his father, Carl Farrar and brother, Vern Farrar. He proudly served his country in post WWII in the US Navy. In Los Angeles, he met the love of his life, Stella Sandoval, married and started a family, eventually making Albuquerque, New Mexico his permanent home. Art's life would forever be changed with the passing of beloved wife in 1989. Art is survived by his loving family, son, Kim Farrar, and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Derek and Courtney, who reside in Los Angeles, California; his loving daughter, Tina Farrar; and his loyal son, Art Farrar, both of Albuquerque; his son, Tony Farrar of Santa Fe, and his wife, Cheryl; and grandchildren, Christian, Olivia and Gabrielle. He is also survived by his in-laws, Tony and Carmen Gallego, who delivered life- long friendship and spirituality; and nephew, Joe Gallego, and his wife, Maryann; and countless other family members. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at John XXIII Catholic Church, 4831 Tramway Ridge Drive NE.
