Arneta Breedlove Joyner, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, passed away on Sunday May 27, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Guildford (Bill) Moses Joyner. She is survived by their daughter, Karren Marie Hansen of Lansing, MI, daughter, Caroline Diana Lucero of Albuquerque, NM; son, David Guildford Joyner and wife, Annette Drucilla of La Luz, NM, daughter, Michele Ann Joyner of High Rolls, NM; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Breedlove of Rocky Mount, NC, sister, Sylvia Hull of Rocky Mount, NC and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on May 30, 1923 to Robert Sonnie Breedlove and Lola Maggie Winters. Arneta received a Bachelor of Arts at the University of North Carolina. She was a homemaker, teacher, and artist. She Devoted her life to the lord and was ordained in the Episcopal church. Arneta was also heavily involved in politics hoping to make a difference in the world. She has many certificates and awards among various Committees she was involved in, and donated much of her money to church and organizations in need. Arneta B. Joyner, 94, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - University with interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Ben Brooks, Dean Garcia, Davis Joyner, Drew Joyner, Caleb Sokoll, Travis Virden, honorary will be Walter Lucero and Adam Zipkin.
