With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our beloved Arlene Anne Coats at the age of 83. She is now in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Arlene was born and raised in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Arlene married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Coats in 1957 and began their life together. She loved being married to Tom and traveling during his 30-year Air Force career. They had three children, Lisa, Kent, and Kimberlee. Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Tom Coats; her daughters, Lisa Nevins, son-in-law, Joe Nevins, Kimberlee Batson; her son, Kent Coats, daughter-in-law, Robin Coats; her grandchildren, Jimmy and Shane Clark, April Batson and Aaron Coats; and nine great-grandchildren, Adrienne, Brody, Brice, Chase, Drew, Brynn, Colton, Presley and Gavin; and step grandchildren, Kelly, Rocky and Danny.
Family was the most important part of her life. Arlene also enjoyed square dancing and was crowned square dancing queen of New Mexico. She enjoyed watching her grandkids and great grandkids play sports. She loved reading. Was committed to her faith, church and the helping of others. But most of all, spending time with the love of her life Tom. Arlene was a gentle soul who spread nothing but love and kindness to everyone that knew her. She was a light that shined brightly in everyone's life. Arlene will be deeply missed by all that loved her. Mother you will always be our angel.
