Arleen Sakelaris

It is with great sadness that her loving family shares that Arleen Sakelaris passed away November 23rd, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM after an illness at the age of 84.

Arleen was born August 27th, 1939, at New Ulm, Minn. She and her family moved to South Dakota in 1944, where she and her family worked and lived on a ranch.

In 1957, she attended West Nebraska General Hospital School of Nursing. Throughout her 40+ year career as a nurse, Arleen put others first. During her career, she worked in all types of hospital settings. She worked at Socorro Presbyterian Hospital in NM until she retired in 2019.

Arleen liked reading, going to movies, watching football, loved seeing plays at Popejoy, and vacations.

Arleen is survived by her daughter Brenda, and son Mike, granddaughter Nicole, grandson in law Chris, and two great grandchildren Kade and Evelyn.

Arleen will be laid to rest with her parents Clarence and Leona Holle in Kimball, NE.
