Anthony Villa Jr. (Tony), a.k.a. "Pa", from Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on March 21, 2017, at the age of 72.
Our beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend ended his courageous fight with cancer. He is preceded in death by his grandsons, David Sanchez and Alexander Villa; his parents, Antonio and Benita Villa; and two sisters, Marianne Heyman and Priscilla West. Tony is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rita; his children, Elaine, Tina, Angela and Anthony; grandchildren, Patrick, Kristina, Carmen, Annabelle, Reese, and Madison; great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Tryston; siblings Marcy, Sylvia, Joann and Timothy.
Tony would like to let you know that his work is done here. When he was informed of his limited time on earth, he turned to the doctor and said: "I am ready to play pool with Moses". One of his many joys in life was making people laugh-- and it happened often, and on occasion when least expected. He had a knack for turning a serious situation into a humorous one. Spending time with his grandchildren was a priority for him and it gave him great pleasure. He left detailed instructions for his wife, children and family to celebrate his life here, which has now been completed.
