Age 87, a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kay, his daughter, Vicki Power (Don), son, William Sirco, daughter, Trish Lake (John) and daughter, Annette Knipfing (Trey); grandchildren Ian Power, Megan Diercks, Laura Burkett, Kevin Power, and Jenna Ramos and 8 great-grandchildren. Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Crane and father, Anthony Sirco of New York.Born in New York City, Anthony attended school at Florida State, St. Joseph's College and The University of New Mexico. As a member of the greatest generation, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Arkansas in the D-Day invasion at Normandy, France and in the Pacific Theater. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1947 and was deployed to Vietnam in 1962. He retired from the USAF in 1967 and worked as a meteorologist for NOAA until he retired in 1986. Anthony was devoted to his family and enjoyed camping and many other activities with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anthony was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church since 1967. A visitation will take place on Monday, March 25 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at French - University. Services will be held on March 26, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd SE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery Wednesday, March 27 at 9:00 a.m. with full military honors. Memorial donations may be made to DAV, P.O.
