Annette "Nina" (Russo) Brownell

Annette (Nina) Brownell, age 90, devoted wife, mother and friend, went to dance among the stars with her husband "Bud" on January 23, 2022. Those who knew her intimately or just casually will always remember her kindness, caring, candy and optimism. She was always ready with a smile, helping hand or kind word. Her concern was genuine whether human or animal. Annette was a Coast Guard wife and was known for her ability to adapt to ever changing environments with a "Can-Do" attitude.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Jeannette Jenkins; son-in law, Ken; granddaughters, Kelly and Kristy Jenkins, Kathryn Kolaya and husband, Joseph. She is also survived by her sister, Grem Beck; nieces, Rita Basilico, Nora Manuele and husband, Paul, Mag Silton and husband, Andy, Barbara Azar and husband, Rami; nephews, Anthony Magarello and wife, Helen, Ed Kanze and wife, Debbie, Tom and Jerry Beck. Annette also leaves so many friends and acquaintances who were all deeply affected by this dynamic women and her big heart and even bigger appetite. She is very missed and greatly loved.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Angelina Russo; sister, Jeannette Magarello, and beloved husband, Burdett (Bud) Brownell. Annette will be interred with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery. Details to be announced at a future time.
