Anne Elizabeth Fisher Kelso passed away on October 1, 2021, at the age of 59. Anne completed her bachelor's degree at Emporia State University in Kansas. While teaching elementary school in Albuquerque, she went back to school at the University of New Mexico and earned her master's degree in elementary education with a specialty in reading. After teaching for 12 years, Anne pursued a second career in accounting, completing her Associates degree at CNM and working for many years in small firms as a tax accountant. Anne was a life-long learner who had a passion for reading, her dachshunds, the zoo and the UNM Lobos.
Anne is survived by her mother, Virginia Fisher, two sisters, Ellen Fisher and Lynn Fisher and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Kelso (1st Sgt, USA, retired) and her father, Don Fisher (Lt. Col, USA, retired).
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on October 9, 2021, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul NE, Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those who wish to make a contribution in Anne's memory, consider the Alzheimer's Association.
