Ann Smarr Strommen

Ann Smarr Strommen, age 82, passed away on August 4, 2016. Ann was known for her dedication to her family and her delicious cookies. She loved her grandchildren and cherished her time with them. She was a dedicated educator of young children and continued to volunteer her valuable services for many years after retirement. Spending time in the great outdoors with her family and volunteering at the Four Seasons Visitor's Center at Sandia Crest were some of her favorite activities. Ann loved quilting and spent many hours with friends making quilts to donate to those in need.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, Richard, three children; Scott and wife Leslie, Louise and husband Jim, Roger and wife Kathy, six grandchildren; Derek and wife Becky, Kelley and husband Zach, Jared, Sydney, Cara and Kyle. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Hazel and Gene Molnar.

A celebration of Ann's life will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016, 7:00 p.m., at Los Altos Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Parkinson's Disease Coalition (www.nmparkinson.org).
