Ann Marie (Emley) Lindberg

Ann Marie Emley Lindberg, retired teacher and principal, passed away January 26, 2018. Ann was born June 20, 1934 in Wisner, Nebraska to Joseph O. and Hester G. Emley. Joseph and Hester moved their family to California when Ann was a young girl. Ann focused on her studies and graduated from Jordan High School, Long Beach, California at the age of 16. Ann worked her way through college at Bank of America and attended Biola College in La Mirada, California focused on elementary education. She met and married Paul O. Lindberg in October, 1958. Ann loved being around her friends and surrounded herself with people who loved God and helped her develop her own relationship with God.

She is survived by three of her four children, Andrea Lindberg Williams, Warren Lindberg, and Leah Lindberg; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph O., her mother, Hester G., her brother, Joseph R., her brother, James O. and her daughter, Jean E.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming.  Because of Ann's commitment to education, the family has created a memorial fund in her name to benefit the building of a new elementary school for Hope Christian at https://hopechristianschool.myschoolapp.com/page/ann-lindberg-memorial-fund.
