Ann T. Gutierrez, 81, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017. She was a dedicated Catholic with a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. One of her proudest moments was traveling to Yugoslavia to the shrine of Our Lady of Medjugorje.
She retired from the State of New Mexico Department of Human Services where she had many valued friends and coworkers. She was a proud member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha philanthropic organization.
Ann is survived by sons, Steven Gutierrez (Elizabeth), James Gutierrez (Tammy) and their families; sister, Rosemary Day and family; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elauterio and Rosita Torres; husband, Rosendo Gutierrez; siblings, David Torres, Sr., Pauline Bruce and Lucille Roybal; and grandson, Mark Gutierrez.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd SW, beginning with the viewing at 10:00 a.m., rosary at 10:30 a.m. and mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
