Anita Wolleson, 90, beloved mother, was called to her eternal resting place on August 24, 2017. She entered this world on January 29, 1927 in Mokane, MO, born to Montegue and Ethel Beamon. She is survived by her son, David Wolleson (Gloria Sanchez); daughter, Patti Wolleson (Frank Frederick); daughter, Pamela Bates (Michael Bates); son, William Wolleson; seven grandchildren and five great grand-children. After graduating from Central Methodist College’s business program in Fayette, MO, Anita worked as a secretary for the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. At age 21, Anita married Billy Wolleson while he was attending Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. After Billy finished professional school in 1951, they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Anita took up the challenge of managing Billy’s private practice when he opened his office in Albuquerque`s south valley. Anita raised four children and was considered the neighborhood go-to mom for all the neighborhood children. Anita was a kind and endearing person who enjoyed her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 15, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM 87501.
