Anita Gauerke

Anita R. Goetz Gauerke, age 94, of Chandler, AZ passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by husband, Reinhart (Bud) Gauerke; daughter, Sandra Zobel; and sister, Helen Williams. She is survived by children, Kenneth Goetz (Karen) and Lesa Stark (Kenneth); grandchildren, Jennifer Daniel, Crystal Meyers, Eric and Ryan Goetz, Tammy Kocher, Amber Stark, and Kenna Haycox; great-grandchildren, Robby and Charisa Kocher, Sean Ryan and Gavin Meyers, Reilena Goetz, Micah, Kensleigh Haycox, and Sophie Stark.

Anita was born in Wichita Falls, TX on Monday, May 17, 1926. She worked as a bank teller for First National Bank Albuquerque and Sandia Labs Credit Union. She was a member of Hoffmantown Baptist, Young at Heart Choir, Arizona Community Church Chorale, and seniors' group in Tempe, Arizona. She lived in Chandler, AZ for 19 years and enjoyed her family, singing, travel, and watching the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Graveside service will be Saturday, May 1, 2021, 2:30 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87107.
