Anita Patrice Boyd (Pat Boyd) Left this world feeling no pain and at peace on February 3, 2018, the Day the Music Died... She was born to Glenn and Mae Williams on December 16th, 1951. She was incredibly strong and Passed to the Lord after gracefully enduring many illnesses.
Pat was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico. In 1972 she attended TVI where she met her adoring husband John Boyd. They were married April 19th 1974 and shared 43 years of laughter, love and all the challenges of raising a family. Their girls, Cynthia Boyd and Alaina Green were instilled with a sense of wonder, creativity and a desire to explore. She enjoyed travel and provided her family with endless opportunities. Pat particularly enjoyed cooking and trying various recipes for her family.
In 1984 she was hired as a Secretary at the University of New Mexico and later secured her position in Management. As a quick learner she was technically inclined and an avid reader. She cared deeply for all her coworkers and was passionate about making connections with people. She loved to joke around and lovingly tease people. She was always willing to help anyone in need.
Upon hearing of her first grandchild’s arrival she retired to embrace becoming a Grandma. She was so proud of Chloe, Lloyd, Caleb and Olivia. She was creator of beautiful things and loved working with her hands. Pat carried on the tradition of tatted lace handed down from her Aunt Viola and she made hundreds of cross bookmarks for her church.
Pat is survived by her loving husband John Anthony Boyd, daughters Cynthia Louise Boyd and Alaina Marie Green, son-in-law Michael Green and her four grandchildren Chloe Sanderson, Caleb Sanderson, Lloyd Green and Olivia Green; as well as sister in law Eva Montoya her husband Paul and their children and grandchildren.
Pat was full of laughter, tenderness, and love. She can never be replaced in our hearts and will forever be missed. May she forever remain BEAUTIFLY!
