Angelo De Filippis

DE FILIPPIS, ANGELO Age 90, a resident of New Jersey, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015. He is survived by his children, Angelo Ennio De Filippis and wife, Domenica of NJ, Lucio De Filippis and wife, Domenica of NJ, Giocondo De Filippis and girlfriend, Teresa Carroll, and Marco De Filippis and wife, Kim McDonough; ten grandchildren, Angelo De Filippis, Ersilia De Filippis, Antonio De Filippis, Joseph De Filippis, Michael De Filippis, Christopher De Filippis, John Paul De Filippis, Francesca De Filippis, Dania De Filippis, and Dante De Filippis; great-grand daughter, Merrisa De Filippis; one sister in Italy, Consiglia De Filippis; and many other relatives and friends. Angelo was preceded in death by his wife, Ersilia De Filippis. He was born in Fondi, Italy in 1924 and immigrated to New Jersey in 1970 where he worked for Star Ravioli until his retirement. Angelo enjoyed spending six months in Italy and six months in the U.S. especially time in his house and orange grove in Italy until he was unable to travel anymore. He enjoyed his visits with his grandchildren whether it was in Florida or New Mexico. Angelo spent a lot of time at La Deliziosa, in New Jersey, a deli owned by his two sons, Angelo and Lou. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit on Friday, January 16, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH- Westside. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
