Angel Montes, 81, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 21, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family. Angel was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico to Eugenio Montes and Tomasa Marquez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Myriam Montes; two daughters, Jeannett Zeman (James) and Yasmin Montano (Ralph); five grandchildren, Angelo R. Montano, Anthony M. Montano, Stephanie Pickup, Alexander Garcia and Vanessa I. Lucero, and nine great-grandchildren.
Angel will be greatly missed by numerous relatives, friends and all who knew and loved him. Angel was always busy helping others. His passions were his family, fishing and creating things with his hands.
Mass will be celebrated Tuesday May, 24, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Church, 5901 St Joseph's Avenue NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120 with Interment to follow on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
