David, which many knew him as, grew up on the streets of California. He went from being a little menace causing chaos to being a caring husband, amazing father, loving grandfather, and one in a million friend. David had something special about him. He was always cracking jokes and making people laugh. He always took care of others including his neighbors. He knew how to have a good time and enjoyed his crown and dancing like Elvis. Anyone lucky enough to meet David would know how warm he made you feel.
David always gave back to the community, from serving as a corrections officer for adults and youth, to being his children's baseball and softball coach, as well as volunteered at South Valley Little League. David loved the outdoors and enjoyed going camping, hunting, and fishing. He loved to travel and would take his wife Josephine on many beautiful vacations, they always seemed to be on to the next destination.
David met the love of his life Josephine at a public library in San Bernardino, California. They got married on March 9th, 1979 in Saint Anthony Church. Everyone who knew David knows how much he loved Josephine "Tinky". They were the perfect couple. Not having David around has caused a void in our house, in our lives, and in our hearts. He is someone who will be missed dearly, never forgotten, and always remembered.
Your wife, children, and grandchildren are going to miss you more than you know. "We love you so very much and will keep you close forever."
